Report of the Yearly Work of Hilo Women's Board 1903
The Hilo Women's Board of the Honolulu Parent Board reports a year marked by dengue disruptions, July and August meetings, and a December leadership gap. Mrs. Nash led much of the year, with bank offerings raising 100 dollars and programs on missionary ships and local arts. Recent travels, summer visitors, and Booths prayer notes colored the year. Miss Potter led November meetings, a new president was hoped, and officers included Nash, Lyman, Severance, and Coan. The board supported the Hilo Free Kindergarten and a mission day school for Christian Japanese, pledging five dollars monthly to each, plus future aid to Waiakea Sewing School. The Free Kindergarten showed strong attendance and praised work of Miss Huggins and Miss Sumner. The year ends with financial concerns, back dues, and hope for funds to replenish.

No Appeal Debate Among Home Rulers in Honolulu
In Honolulu two days of discussion fail to muster support for appealing the Territorial Supreme Court decision in the County Act case to the U S Supreme Court. Critics warn an appeal would cost at least 5000 dollars and paralyze county government, urging passage of county law through Congress.
