Memory of Burns Celebrated With Hilo Concert
The memory of Robert Burns was kept green in Hilo with a Spreckels Hall concert by the Hilo Burns Club. Seven teen numbers featured vocal solos, a quartet, a Highland Fling, and a stirring eulogy by W. C. Cook praising Burns. The Amateur orchestra, directed by Mrs. J. T. Lewis, impressed, with performances by Mrs. Bartels, Mrs. A C McKenney, Mrs. Homer L. Ross, and others.
