Lionel Miniature Gauge Trains Aim for 2 Million in Sales
Lionel projects close to 2 million dollars in over the counter sales for its new miniature gauge trains and accessories. Loco motives and cars are marketed to adult hobbyists with 1/2 size tracks and 1/48 scale models. Lionel says the segment is the fastest growing in toy railroading and that over 132,000 hobbyists own the new models. A full operating layout is on display at the Lionel Showroom, New York City.
