The Red Cross unveils a family blood bank plan allowing individual families to acquire blood credits for future needs. The first drive runs 1 to 6 p.m. November 12 at Westminster Church Fellowship Hall in Elizabeth, with appointments via the Elizabethtown Chapter and Mrs. Donald R. Kearsing.

Township Attorney Henry Goldhor presented a Colt .38 officer model pistol to Police Capt Walter Steib for leading the Hillside Police pistol team in points. The team won the Union County Pistol League B Division title in 1961.
