Faculty Hears of Library Service At Public Library

The Calvin Cool School faculty met at the Public Library where director Miss Lottie Smolensk and principal Miss E Doll urged maximum use of books for information and enjoyment. Library cooperation among schools was stressed. Mrs. Rosemary Fernicola and Mrs. Edna Runfolo represented the library.

Two GOP Proposals Attacked As Illegal

Democratic opponents accuse Republican township candidates of proposing illegal changes to the Township Attorney system and welfare department. The release cites state law RS 11 22 2e and RS 44 8 6, arguing permanent civil service status for the attorney is forbidden and the welfare director role cannot be abolished. It notes the Hillside Welfare Director earns 5200 annually and saved the township over 25 000 by auditing applicants and redirecting funds.
