Tracy Holds Democrats Undermine Jobless Fund
Republican Assembly hopeful Charles S. Tracy denounces Democrats on unemployment insurance at a Hillside seminar, accusing lax administration of depleting New Jersey’s fund. He cites deficits since 1953, a $169 million draw from the unemployment trust fund, and rising benefits with higher payroll taxes. He proposes a three point plan to curb abuses and stabilize benefits.
