Hillside civil defense volunteers hold a paper and scrap drive starting 11 AM Sunday October 5. Receipts fund defense firemen equipment as four trucks from the Safeway lot at Long and Liberty avenues collect in four township sections. Gabriel Blakesburg leads the effort.
