Feltman Seeks Re election To Hillside School Board
Franklin A. Feltman, 122 Bailey Ave., member of the Hillside Board of Education, announces his candidacy for re election on Tuesday February 9. The term of Walter Howell expires and the board must choose a successor to the late Emil Crisafulli. Feltman, a 13 year Hillside resident elected in 1962, serves on multiple committees and helped formulate the current Adult Evening School at Hillside High School. He owns a general insurance agency and was previously with J J Kislak.

Pick Diamond For '65 Mayor Hurt After Lamp Shock
MISS LAAN LILLEY, 16, of 440 Princeton ve sustained injuries from an electric shock at her home yesterday, police reported. Responding to a call from Paul Erdelye, brother-in-law of Lilley, officers found her unconscious. After oxygen and treatment by Dr Joseph Heyser, she was taken to Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

Move Ouster Rotary Hears Of Custodian's Move
The Rotary Club heard of the dismissal of William Ostermiller, custodian of school funds, after a special meeting was called by Jack Valent, president of the board of education. An interim audit by Sidney J. Friedman found one discrepancy involving a $395.79 check diverted to Ostermiller. the check was later deposited to Hillside Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. A separate talk at a Rotary meeting covered trust matters and estate planning, noting a $200,000 estate can save up to $30,000 with proper planning. The Hillside budget for the coming year, totaling $3,546, includes scholarships and community programs. Robert Diamond, Hillside police commissioner, was named mayor-designate for 1965 and will be sworn in January 1. Diamond, a Hillside High School graduate, has served on the Township Committee for nine years and held multiple legal and civic roles. He and his wife Arlene Cohen have three children.
