Removal charges directed treasurer in New Jersey township

Bond Issues Pay Hikes Approved by Hillside Voters

Hillside voters approved all six referendums on Tuesday. The $50 million State Institutions bond passed 4,337 to 3,274, the $40.1 million College bond and the $3.75 million county vocational school issue also advanced. Local measures granting $500 pay raises for police, firemen, and public works passed by wide margins.

Philip G. Jajosky of Hillside High School is selected as the 1964 Chemical Caravan representative. The program, sponsored by the Chemical Industry Council of New Jersey, will bring 160 top high school science students to Rutgers University on November 9 for lectures, demonstrations, and tours of chemical facilities in Bound Brook and nearby sites.

Dischler Repeats Victory by Sweeping All Districts

Township Clerk Louis A. Dischler Democrat defeats Republican challenger Jack Noble in Tuesday's election, sweeping all 15 districts for the second straight term. In 1961 Dischler carried every district to win 5,475 to 2,963. This year he outpolled Mayor Monroe Ackerman but trailed Johnson 8,217 and Williams 7,342.
