Four New Police Cars In Service In Hillside
Police Commissioner Sidney Girnbaum announced four new Dodge patrol cars from S H Grossman Inc of Newark are now in service. Chief Ernest Voelk notes the vehicles are “p o k a g e” heavy duty models with white doors, tri color emblem, calibrated speedometers and high electrical load capacity for radios and lights. The black and white scheme enhances night visibility and safety during emergencies. Each car runs almost continuously, averaging 60,000 miles annually.

High School Commencement to Be Held Outdoors

Commencement is scheduled for 6 80 pm on Wednesday June 21 to finish before dark.
