Cranford Blue and Gold Defeat Hillside Comets in Key Game
In a pivotal Union County Conference clash Cranford defeats Hillside 2 to 1 at the Comet Field as Amato loses his first of the season. Neebling stars on the mound with eight strikeouts as Cranford moves to 4 and 0, while Hillside drops to 4 and 1 and remains in second. Cooper’s mistaken second at bat yields Crawford’s first run during a wild first inning, then Amato settles in with two scoreless stretches before Neebling’s run-scoring single seals the win.
