Longtime Hillside clerk Howard Bloy dies at 77
Howard J. Bloy, former Hillside Township Clerk, died March 19 in Pennsylvania after a long illness. He served 38 years as clerk, retired in 1960, and helped consolidate police and fire pensions saving the township money. He led emergency relief in the depression era and was active in local organizations including the American Legion and Rotary. Surviving are wife Ruth and son Howard J. Jr.
