Hillside Heights Favors Addition To Calvin Coolidge School

The Hillside Heights Civic Association urged the Board of Education to add to the Calvin Coolidge School rather than build a new facility. They favored bonding and a township committee plan to expand within one building despite reduced play space, arguing consolidation is essential. Hillside Nurse Cap Ceremony At Marbeth Hospital

Flash Campaign For Cancer Drive In Hillside

The American Cancer Society will hold a first time flash campaign in Hillside on Monday April 4. Over 300 volunteers will canvas the town visiting households with literature on the seven danger signals as a prime step in fighting cancer. The effort is led by chairman William Gural with a broad committee including Mrs A Disotell and many local organizations, plus corporate and school representatives assisting in roles from treasurer to publicity and records.
