Hillside Kiwanis Club to honor Henry H. Nussbaum governor of the district at a September 8 dinner at Springfield Steak House Route 22 Springfield. Township Clerk Louis A. Dischler announces committee chairmen for tickets reservations inter club program publicity decorations and master of ceremonies duties. Club seeks a minimum of 500 attendees and Nussbaum is the first Hillside member to hold the state wide post.

Hillside student wins third in national thrift essay
Linda Greenberg, 17, a Hillside High School senior, placed third in the 6th National Thrift Essay Program. Sponsored by Hillside National Bank, she was chosen from more than 500,000 entrants across the United States. The Ameri can Judging Agency of Holston, Texas, announced the awards based on their findings.
