Zoning Drift in Three Acre tract Near Wolf Pi
A three acre former veterans housing site off Wolf Pine Road, now owned by Menza's Coal Company of Newark, reemerges in zoning debate. Neighbors oppose heavy industrial use and a two family home plan, while Hillside Home Owners Association pushes for broader planning action amid tax and service concerns. The Zoning Board approved the variance for two family homes, pending appeal, with the property remaining zoned heavy industry. The piece calls for further inquiry into FAA jetport site decisions and Port Authority influence.
