State DiBuono For Full-Time Juvenile Court

Willa DiBuono will be nominated by Gov. to serve as the Union County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court’s first full time judge. Confirmation by the State Senate is required. The salary is 22,000. DiBuono resides at 95 Warwick Ave and has served as magistrate since January 4 1961.

Two Newark men William Lowe and Willie Roy Allen were sentenced to 60 and 30 days respectively in Union County jail after pleading guilty to larceny in a police sting. Detectives trailed Sgt. Funeral Services Held For Rev Dr Northwood

Funeral services for Rev Dr Arthur Northwood of Elizabeth Ave Presbyterian Church Newark were held Friday June 21. He died June 19 at Brook Lodge Nursing Home Cranford at 77. A longtime Hillside figure he retired in 1960 after 40 years leading the Newark church. He was named pastor emeritus and lived in Cranford before entering the nursing home. He earned degrees from Princeton and Princeton Theological Seminary and served in Quarryville Pa and Newark since 1920. He held 여러 church and presbytery posts and helped found the Easter Sunrise Service at Weequih Park. He leaves his wife four children, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Massimino named head coach at Lexington High School

Roland Rollie Massimino, formerly Hillside and Cranford coach, accepts Lexington High School post as head basketball coach and physical education instructor. He will also assist with soccer and either baseball or track, guiding Comets to further titles after a record 73 wins in four years.

Women Outline New Program for Hillside Club

The Hillside Business and Professional Women's Club program committee met at 107 Bailey Ave to outline the 1963 64 agenda. The civic participation group met at 18 Warwick Rd to prepare an October program with Mrs John A Desch Mrs W William Di Buono and Miss Jean Rae Turner attending.

Commissioner Mancuso announced a July 4 event in Union County park Conant Street to close Hillside's anniversary. Activities include children and adult races, a 6 pm county musicians concert, trophy presentations, a Mayor Deschi speech, and a fireworks display. Library Summer Story Hours Planned for July and August

The Public Library announces 1963 summer story hours on Tuesdays from July 2 to August 27. Two sessions meet in the library meeting room on the second floor with ages six to nine at 9 30 and ages four to five at 10 30. No registration required.
