H S Addition Brings Change in High School Program
The new high school addition changes the school day length and curriculum for the fall opening. The 8 4 plan will keep elementary through eighth grade except Hillside Avenue through eighth grade and George Washington School seven through eighth. A sixth period will be added and lunch will run in three shifts of 23 minutes. World history replaces general science in ninth grade, with world history and occupations across business and general tracks, and added vocational guidance in industrial arts and other courses.
