Hillside Industrial Association elects Adlerbert president

Adlerbert of Sun Rise Dairies was elected president of the Hillside Industrial Association. The installation will occur at the annual outing on June 21 at Suburban Golf Club, Union. Elected officials include Harvey W. Peace Jr. as vice president and Russell Donovan as treasurer. James Ozias of McCarter English and Studer will continue as secretary.

NYU Degrees For Three Hillsiders

Degrees were conferred on three Hillside residents at NYU’s 125th commencement. Gerald William Keil of 1604 Compton Place earned a Bachelor of Laws, while Paul Kull of 379 Harvard Avenue and Makary Turnoff of 250 Long Avenue received Master of Business Administration degrees.

Muhlenberg College Grants Degree to Local Graduate

Norman Walensky of 1127 Thomas Street Hillside New Jersey graduated among Muhlenberg College's 16 seniors at the commencement exercises. A natural science major he received a Bachelor of Science degree and plans to pursue graduate work. He is a Hillside High School alumnus and son of Mr and Mrs Phillip Walensky.

Camp Winnebago announces summer staff

Camp Winnebago has completed its staff for the summer season. Hillsiders Edward Ryan at 185 Woodruff Place, Robert Laws at 1264 Oak Wood Avenue, and Lionel Lowden at 117 Woodruff Place remain among the program team.

Opposed Group Questions High School Expansion Plans

About 40 residents urged voters to scrutinize the proposed high school addition plan costing $1,975,000. They argued the plan differs from prior proposals and would extend the campus with a large gym and rear classroom wing, risking traffic on Livingston road and insufficient cafeteria space.
