Pupils Stage Polio Benefit Show At Local Home
Three George Washington School pupils presented a benefit show at the home of Mr and Mrs Jacob Smith at 1454 Leslie Street for infantile paralysis. Proceeds totaled 4.16 dollars. Gail Smith hosted with a puppet show and songs, Arnold Benz displayed his art and pets, and John Lenaz performed a clown act alongside Arnold. All are nine and in fourth grade.

Child Overcome By Gas At Home Accident
Charles Morro, year old son of Mr and Mrs Wilfred Morro of 416 Princeton Avenue, was overcome by illuminating gas Tuesday when kitchen stove jets were accidentally turned on. Fire Company 2 responders and Township physician Milton M Lilien treated him with oxygen. Mrs Morro told police the gas jets were turned on by one of her 2 year old twin daughters who were playing near the stove.
