Boy Sled Collision Injures 10 Year Old Near Highland Belleview
Samuel Hyland aged 10 of 1485 Compton Terrace was injured when his sled collided with a car at the Highland Avenue and Belleview Terrace intersection. Harry Weinstein 56, of 252 Belleview Terrace reported the incident. Officers Heller and Erdman noted the boy could not stop his sled. Weinstein transported Hyland to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment. injuries described as not serious.

Hillside Poll Reveals Mixed Views on Newark Airport Flights
A Hillside poll of 500 surveys on Newark Airport flights drew 48 responses by last night. Of those, 27 residents in the hill section above Maple Avenue say noise remains an issue though less than before, while 21 find no annoyance. Mayor Milton B. Boy Escapes Injury After Street Collision
Larry Bell a 9 year old of 1550 Schley street ran in front of a car on Maple avenue between Dover and Winans avenues. He suffered no injury and was taken to Dr Schoss after the driver Murray Frey 22 said he swerved to avoid him but struck the boy with his right fender.

Family Reunites After Five Years At Christmas
Mr and Mrs H Darcy Brindle of 118 Pennsylvania avenue welcomed four children home for Christmas marking a five year gap. Virginia and Edward Skarl from Hiawatha New Jersey visited with their son-in-law while David H Brindle MM3c returned from the USS Basilone DDE 824 after three years in the Navy. The family includes Shirley 20 employed by Anheuser Busch and Robert 14 a Hillside High School student. David H headed back to his ship Monday now in Cuba for about four weeks before resuming Mediterranean duty.
