Research Holds Only Hope Of Mending Scott's Heart
Donald Scott Featherstone, a nearly four year old son of Mr and Mrs Donald Featherstone of 129 Virginia St, faces no viable heart repair. Doctors say surgery is too hazardous and no remedy exists, prompting Mrs Featherstone and the Union County Heart Association to seek more Heart Fund research. The child has been under care at Cornell Medical Center in New York and reviewed by Dr C Walton Lilleher of the University of Minnesota. He was born May 14 1958 with rapid breathing, sweating, poor weight gain and limited feeding.
