Scholarships To Honor Boosters For Hillside High School Fund
The Hillside High School Scholarship Fund held its December meeting at the school. President Herbert Fitz welcomed Morris Lubin of Hillside Industrial Foundation to the board. The Fund voted to award 250 in scholarships in the name of the Dads Booster Club, which has contributed over 9000 since the Fund’s inception on April 3, 1952. Chairman Thomas Chamberlain reported 5000 was awarded for scholarships up to June 1961 from donations’ dividends, and noted the Fund’s age near 34,000. Attending were Sidney Englander Allen Bochner and advisor Ruhl L. Custer, principal of the High School.
