Weequahic Edges Hillside In Thanksgiving Day Victory

Weequahic defeated Hillside 19 to 13 on Thanksgiving Day for their first win of the season. Hillside, coming off 15 straight winless games, faced a strong Weequahic defense as the Indians moved the ball and scored on a 23 yard run by Thomas Winnicki and a later 2 yard plunge.

So Where Do We Park Dont Hillside Police Ticket Cars

Hillside Police issue about five hundred five dollar tickets over new daytime parking ban from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. on select streets to clear streets for street maintenance. A resident parked briefly to drop off a parcel, received a five dollar ticket. Police note tickets are issued to enforce the ordinance and some towns tow cars for extra penalties.

The Detective Bureau investigates a forced entry at Peter Banias home 50 Warwick Road Saturday with $610 in cash jewelry and Kennedy silver dollars stolen. Also investigated is Alex Regi 102 Thomas Street reporting entry at the Hungarian Workingmen's Hall 1316 White Street with a coin box broken on the pool table. Clarence Parratt 86 Warwick Road reported a Sunday entry missing a watch and gold wedding band valued at $200.

Humanik Named To U S Olympic Games Committee

Peter G. Humanik recreation superintendent is nominated by the AAU to join the U S Olympic Games Committee in basketball for the quadrennium opening Nov 29. He is past NJ AAU president and current US AAU board member and NJ AAU chair of the Registration Committee. The committee plans tryouts and selection for teams on Olympic programs.

Theater Group To Meet Tonight At Hillside High

The Hillside Little Theatre group will meet tonight at 8 at Hillside High School auditorium. Play readings are on the agenda and all interested in acting or production are invited.
