Hit Run Death On Route 22 Claims 45-Year-Old Man
Jesse Leath, 45, an unemployed auto mechanic, was fatally injured in a hit-and-run on Route 22 near Skill Corp. early Sunday. He had boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh and was en route from Clairton, Pennsylvania, to Newark to stay with his aunt, Mrs. Trudy Richardson. Eyewitnesses saw him walking on the highway. skid marks suggested a tractor trailer struck him. He died at St Elizabeth Hospital at 2 25 a.m. His body was taken to local funeral homes in Roselle Park and Newark for services. He was unmarried.
