Susan Jane Brody and Stuart Gary Mann wed on a Saturday evening at The Manor in West Orange with Rabbi Barry Greene officiating. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Harold Brody, and groom, son of Mrs Molly Mann and Mr Joseph Mann, celebrate with family, friends, and a Jamaica honeymoon before settling in Elizabeth. The ceremony included matron of honor Mrs Howard Sharenow and bridesmaids Miss Nina Greenberg and Miss Debbie Miller. Best man Joel Bergman and ushers Howard Sharenow and Richard A Ziffer attended. Mann is employed at Rondex Pharmaceutical Laboratories and pursues advanced study at Brooklyn College and LIU.

Hillside Summer Band Debuts August 16 at Conant Field Park
The Hillside Summer Band, directed by Michael J. Buglio, will give its first concert on Wednesday August 16 at 8315 P.M. in Conant Field Park under Hillside Recreation Commission sponsorship. Selections include Sound of Music Original Dixieland Concerto Fiddler on the Roof selections, March of the Trombone, and Washington Post. If rain occurs the program shifts to the following evening.

Laurie Birnbaum of Hillside High School was among 240 gifted U S high school students enrolled in Northwestern University's 37th Annual National High School Institute in Speech. The program runs July 2 through August 5 in Evanston Illinois, with students living on campus and taking part in public speaking, theater, debates, and media activities. Merit trophies and scholarship recommendations capped the session.
