Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills plans a Heart Institute pavilion adding four operating rooms to the current one. The free non sectarian center treats operable heart disease cancer and chest conditions, drawing patients from across New Jersey and beyond with no charges. The piece highlights patient stories including a Philadelphia boy who survived open heart surgery and received Kennedy’s letter, a Brick Township worker cured of a heart defect, and an Old Bridge child nicknamed blue baby.
