Passover Services Planned Across Local Congregations
Passover begins Monday April 20 with services at Congregation Sinai Torath Chaim 1531 Maple Ave. Included are first three days rites at 700 PM Monday 8 45 AM 6 30 PM 7 00 PM Tuesday and 845 AM 630 PM Wednesday. Sinai Hebrew School will hold services Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 AM. Hillside Jewish Center prepares with a lecture by Rabbi Israel Friedman. Leavened food selling to the Rabbi on Sunday. A model Seder at 10 AM Sunday for Fein Hebrew School classes. Early Monday 6 AM sigim for first born. Full schedule through Thursday includes multiple morning and evening services and mincha tall Yom Tov lecture.

Menza Seeks Freeholder Post in Union County Race

Eight Arrested On Drug Counts In Local Sweep
Eight people were detained on drug and narcotic charges over the past week. Names include Randolph L. Jensen 21 of Elizabeth held on several counts. a 17 year old companion released to his mother for juvenile delinquency. Louis A. Miele 29 Newark charged with possession of legend drugs after a stop on Conant Street. Additional arrests included Robert Valeo 19 for marijuana hashish and legend drugs. Arnold Moore 22 Brunswick Street and Melvin Simmons 18 Wright Street charged with narcotic intoxication. Ronald Radice 27 S 12th Street for under the influence. Gill E. Coley 24 Erie Street Elizabeth a registered narcotic offender taken on a warrant.
