FolK Play Idea Gains Ground in California
Professor Frederick H. Koch reports North Carolina’s Playmaker movement gaining momentum in California. He notes strong amateur theater interest, a state drama teachers’ association, and a record producing summer program involving students from many states. Koch toured major venues from Santa Barbara to San Francisco, witnessing new theatres, Greek and Spanish style stages, and long Chinese plays ending after midnight. He also observed a brief bullfight detour on his return trip.
