Ground Swells Injure Hundreds At Los Angeles Beaches
Ten foot ground swells battered the Los Angeles Coast injuring hundreds of bathers seeking relief from a 91 degree heat. Lifeguards rescued 80 people at Los Angeles County beaches and six required hospital care after being buffeted by waves. Lifeguards patrolled Venice and Playa Del Rey as teens suffered cuts and bruises amid the rough conditions.
