Membership Drive Gets Underway For Symphony Society
North Carolina Symphony Society launches its annual membership drive in High Point with plans for three concerts. The drive involves 140 volunteers, civic leaders meet at First Baptist Church, and funds support children’s free concerts and school broadcasts. The North Carolina Symphony, founded 1940 by Dr. Benjamin Swalin, features two orchestras and extensive community outreach across the state.
