North Carolina reports 1928 29 high school data showing 53 400 white girls and 43 339 white boys enrolled, with girls comprising half the white graduates and leading in daily attendance and rural city gaps. Negro schools show 69 percent of graduates are girls.
New certificates of incorporation include High Point Machine & Manufacturing Co of High Point with 100000 authorized capital stock and 5000 subscribed stock by L. A. Noland L. E. Solomon and O. L. Rowland. T. M. S. Realty Corp of Charlotte to deal in real estate and mercantile business with 1500 shares no par value and 3000 subscribed stock by P. L. McMahan Fred W. Glover J. H. Bobbitt Jr. and others. Bon and Walls Inc of Wallace to buy and sell real estate with 10000 authorized stock and 3000 subscribed stock by L. W. Boney Marjorie Boney D. L. Wells and others.

It is believed that passenger lines will shift to pass through Raleigh, and the air mail route may soon move from Greensboro to Raleigh to avoid fog.
S D Eurich of Fairchild Aircraft visits Raleigh and praises North Carolina aviation progress. He notes Raleigh Greensboros Winston-Salem and Charlotte airports as key assets and says the state could become the leading southern aviation hub. He forecasts Raleigh as a major winter aviation crossroads with expanding Curtiss airport facilities.
C. T. Pressland, 68, of Sherbrooke Quebec, rode 400 miles to Toronto then trained to Windsor to reach his son in Detroit. Immigration officials denied him entry at the border, he called the journey disheartening and long.
