City fair preparations near completion for five day event
High Point prepares its first annual Community Fair at Willis baseball park off Thomasville road. The J J Page Exposition Shows will operate rides and amusements while Vincent Kay and his band perform daily. City Council Sets 1929 30 Tax Rate At 1 33 Per 100 Valuation
The High Point city council established a tax rate of 1 33 per 100 for 1929 30 aiming toward a single 1 25 rate for the administration.
