Girl Plunges To Her Death At Bridal Veil Falls
Linda Baker an 18 year old from Springville Utah slipped on a ledge Sunday and plunged 800 feet to her death as onlookers watched. Her body was recovered from Bridal Veil Falls bottom of the cliff. Linda and four other hikers climbed the cliff above the falls when she slipped. Her body struck Lynn Powell 23 of Utah who tried to catch her. He regained balance to prevent his following.

River Runners To Emerge From Rio Grande Gorge
TAOS New Mexico and Phoenix Arizona river runners Jim Lindsey 32 and Lou 29 planned a 60 mile run through the rough rapids of the Rio Grande Gorge starting Sunday morning. They used an inner tube and plywood plank raft aiming to reach the Taos Junction bridge about 20 miles from here. The voyage mirrors a history of six prior fatalities while attempting the upper Rio Grande run.

Confidential Trial Resumes in Los Angeles Conspiracy Case
