First grade homework redefines common words in school
In High Point, North Carolina, second graders at Monthen Avenue Elementary tackle a new vocabulary word defined as First. While many struggle to pronounce or spell the term, they grasp its meanings. Ms Mildred Waddell asks 25 students to define four familiar words Fun Run Ball. A pupil explains Fun as joy during play. Ball is round and bouncy or a Cinderella dance. All means everything and everyone. The class explores multiple meanings.
