Miss Emily Jane Hester is engaged to Bobby Earl James in a forthcoming November wedding at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church on November 17. Emily Jane, a Mars Hill and Wake Forest graduate and medical technologist at High Point Memorial Hospital, hails from Ridgecrest Drive. James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Russell James of Robersonville, attended Mars Hill and East Carolina College and has completed three years of U. S. Army service.

Junior Girls Auxiliary Meeting At Post Home
The VFW Post 1960 auxiliary met at the post home on W Burton Avenue. Officers of the junior girls unit were named and will be installed in October. They voted to donate to the Eye Bank in Winston-Salem and to skip September due to the High Point Fair. The group plans to assist fair officials and visit the VA hospital on September 23. Hostesses were Mrs. A C Ingram and Mrs. Jack Jeffries.
