Rebecca Ragan Weds William Akins Jr In Archdale

Miss Martha Rebecca Ragan married William Howard Akins Jr at Archdale Friends Meeting House in a Quaker ceremony. Rev. Harris and Rev. Pearson officiated with gilt chrysanthemum and gladioli decorations. The couple, both Duke University juniors, are from Archdale and Jackson, Mississippi.

Akins Ragan Nuptials Highlight A Gracious Archdale Reception

Rebecca Ragan and William H. Akins Jr. wed in a Saturday ceremony on the Ragans’ lawn with a yellow and white theme. A wedding breakfast at Emerywood Country Club preceded the nuptials and was hosted by cousins of the bride. The reception followed at the bride’s parents home with guests including Mrs. Gates and the Kearns family. After a wedding trip the couple will reside in Hillsboro.
