Krueger defeats Dane County Judge in Wisconsin recall
Maria Krueger 33 defeated Judge Archie Simonson in Wisconsin's first judicial recall. Krueger won 27,244 votes against 18,435 for Simonson amid controversy over his rape remark from the bench. She sworn in Sept 18 to fill the remainder of his term. Simonson plans to practice law and may join a local campaign against sex for sale.
