Investigation clears Post of blame in Barrow crash that killed Will Rogers
Eugene Vidal of the Bureau of Air Commerce concludes the Alaska crash resulted from weather and mechanical factors rather than Post’s inexperience or negligence. The report notes Post flew cautiously with Rogers, avoided clouds, and would have landed if weather deteriorated, countering Eskimo and public accusations of foolhardy flying.
