Geneva dispatch reports the five power committee of the League of Nations urges Italy and Ethiopia to refrain from force while seeking a peaceful solution to the Italo Ethiopian crisis. The meeting reviewed east Africa events as Laval Eden and other delegates outlined recent Paris talks and next meetings are planned.
Rome reports the Italian foreign office could not confirm or deny dispatches from Addis Ababa claiming the Italian minister ordered withdrawal of Italian consulates in Ethiopia amid rising tensions with Italy.
Sheriff Coleman directing rescue operations in the lower Keys told the Red Cross at 9 15 A M today that burning of bodies of Monday nights storm victims had started.

At Linville North Carolina on September 7 AP reports George SPererland of Greensboro had the only subpar front nine 36 after holding a five stroke lead at the halfway point in the Carolinas open golf tournament while continuing to challenge the field.

Mrs. P. S. Carlton and Miss Julia Groves of Salisbury are in St. Leo's hospital Greensboro after an automobile accident Tuesday. Carlton has a broken arm and minor injuries while Groves suffers a fractured vertebrae. both are reported recovering satisfactorily.
