Miss Hope Loflin Weds Wiley Jerry Jeffries in Danville

Miss Hope Loflin of this city married Wiley Jerry Jeffries in a simple Danville ceremony on July 16 at Rev. M. T. Sorrell home. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Loflin, and Jeffries, son of Mr. and Mrs. David P. Jeffries of Knoxville, Tenn., reside with the bride's parents at 905 Carr Street. The couple are at home there.

Laura Wesson Chapter Plans and Honors in L D C Session

Laura Wesson chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy held its fall meeting at Mrs. Forrest H. Murray's home. Plans include a grave marker for Laura Wesson in Oakwood Memorial Park, a bronze tablet with inscription, and a forthcoming benefit bridge party.

The second annual Davis-Fulton reunion will be held Sunday September 15 at 5 Chapel Christian church Stokes county. Mrs Dan Schroder principal of Elm Street School returns to 1105 Greenway Drive after a summer vacation in Raleigh and South Carolina. Clare O Sullivan a Lutheran Mission worker from Shantung China will speak at Manuel Lutheran Church Tuesday September 10 at 7 30 pm with a lecture and motion pictures about mission work in China. She is a native of North Carolina and is employed by the Western North Carolina Synodical Women's Missionary Society.
