TEKAMAH Neb Sept 4 AP Diets of bread and water have reduced liquor law violations in Burt County Sheriff W D Smith said He spoke as the Supreme Court ordered Roy Carson and Thomas Nelson to begin serving sixty day sentences with the first and last twenty days on the bread and water diet The sentences are the longest in the county Five and ten day bread and water terms are common but these two are longer They had pleaded guilty to possessing liquor at a country dance and had served a week on bread and water before appealing on the diet issue

Rural Police Car Crashes Halting Fire Hydrant

Prohibition Suspects Arraigned After Whisky Bust
Federal officers seized ten gallons of whisky from a Dodge car on the Greensboro Randie man highway.
