Lieutenant W. A. Gray and crew of four landed the TC-5 airship safely at Scott Field Belleville Illinois after 36 hours aloft in electrical storms. The first inland trip since the Shenandoah disaster tested the non rigid blimp's mettle despite darkness and heavy rain. The ship covered about 1200 miles with 155 gallons of fuel remaining and a 400 gallon capacity.

Three Men Executed in Ohio Prison Tripple Death Row Event
John Bryant Richard Rhoades and John Hedrick were electrocuted at Ohio Penitentiary for the March killing of James McCumber near Pomeroy. It was the state’s first triple execution with 35 officials and reporters present. Bryant spoke Praise God as he entered the chair. Two young gunmen roamed Gary Indiana last night terrorizing the business district. They killed a man and wounded a patrolman before one was killed and the other captured.
