Three High Point Girls Honored At District DE Convention
Three members of the Distrib utive Education Club at High Point High School were honored at the ninth annual district convention in Asheboro North Carolina. Caroline Wolford was elected district second treasurer. Faye, a Belk Co. worker, was elected editor and promotion manager. Jobie Jackson, F. W. Woolworth Co. employee, won Defense M5 delegates. Delegates from central North Carolina attended, 13 schools represented. The group began with a get acquainted period and welcome addresses by the Asheboro Club. A one minute candidate speeches followed before a tour of the General Electric plant in Asheboro.
