Some grades of smoking leaf and a nondescript advanced from 1 to 2 dollars per hundred on the middle belt. Average grades ranged from 47 to 49 dollars per hundred. The best heavy and poorest non descript on the old belt rose 3 dollars per hundred while common and orange leaf fell 2 dollars. Eastern belt showed a 1 dollar per hundred rise for fair leaf with a few common leaf and nondescript grades gaining 1 to 2 dollars.
