Protocols of Zion Fabricated, Swiss Trial Hears
In Berne a court heard Sergius Swatikow testify that the so called protocols of the elders of Zion were created by Russian agents at the French national library. Zionist leader testimony on protocols questions in Swiss libel case
In court the defense asks how work in Palestine relates to the Protocols. Weizmann says there is as much relation as between the earth and other planets. An expert for the defendants, Rev. Munchmeyer, is in default and replaced. Only one living defendant remains, editor Dr A Zander of Elsernen Besen. Plaintiffs seek confiscation of documents and fines over writings they say prove Jews seek world rule. European Jewish leaders attend, seats scarce. The case centers on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and a Napoleon era French essay used as proof.
