Believe Davis Heads Local Merchants Group
J H ONeil will succeed Talmage Davis as president of the newly organized High Point Merchants association. Davis left the city tonight after turning over affairs. ONeil already began duties. Over 40 merchants have paid dues, about 26 more promised, with 75 eligible yet unsolicited. The association plans to hire an all time secretary as committees search for a live wire candidate. Directors include Phillips and Mrs. J A Austin among others.
