Stadium Vision Without School Delays Davidson County
In Thomasville a new stadium sits on Lake Road three miles south of town, built by local citizens as a symbol of community spirit, though the promised East Davidson Consolidated School won’t exist for three to four years due to a consolidation decision by the Davidson County school board. Citizens formed the Parents Assn for Better Schools led by Mrs. Sam Welborne to press for three way consolidation, including Thomasville, but their petition and efforts reached no remedy after appeals to county officials and state authorities.
