The High Point BPW Club held an orientation clinic at the Chamber of Commerce during National Business Women's Week. Speaker Mrs. E E Hussey outlined BPW history from 1919, current membership, district structure, and goals to elevate women in business through education and cooperation. A tea for new members closes the observance at the Sheraton Hotel.

Mr and Mrs Danny Ward announce the birth of son Danny Steven at High Point Memorial Hospital on October 18. Mrs Ward is the former Sandra Smith.
