The action enforces a street assessment on real estate in the name of W Clinard Estate et al. In Melbourne a 40 year old elephant named Queenie was convicted of murdering keeper Thomas Lawson aged 78 after witnesses said she crushed him with her trunk and knelt on his chest. The coroner ruled Queenie may never carry children again.
