A coordinated juvenile rehabilitation program is launched in High Point through Central Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist bodies. Rev. Paul Odum, pastor of James town First Baptist, leads the effort with sponsor teams, home visits, and confidential case handling to steer youths toward corrective support rather than court action. Gods Judgment on Israel Hosea Amos lesson overview

Background material for today’s lesson surveys Amos and Hosea, prophets of impending doom in Israel. It contrasts Hosea’s public affairs insight with Amos’s humble shepherd background, recounts Amaziah of Bethel, and outlines visions of doom including a basket of summer fruit and plumb line. It notes Israel’s idolatry, wealth, and moral decay leading to the Northern Kingdom’s fall.
