Real estate men fear the tight money market as mortgage funds become scarcer and rates rise. Easier Credit Urged to Boost Home Building Growth

Carl T. Mitnick, president of the National Association of Home Builders, says private housing starts rose to a record pace in the first half of the year but per capita production lags population growth. He argues the industry can raise output by 100000 units if long term credit at reasonable rates is available, warning tighter money could shrink supply and hurt living standards.
